Music ♫

I created a survey and posted it on my Blog a week or so ago to see what others thought to try and gain audience feedback to widen the target audience, my results shown that Jazz music was the most popular answer. I believe this is an appropriate music genre as it fits Charlie Chaplin's type of films which makes our product similar to his in more than one way.

Music for the Short Film ♫

Sound is a key technical code in moving image, because basically, if the sound didn't go with the film then it wouldn't be worth watching. This is why it's vital that I choose the correct music to play along with the short film. Kelsey and I decided upon creating a short film in the style of Charlie Chaplin (black and white with no sound and an exaggerated performance by the actors). To ensure that it is similar to Chaplin's films, the sound needs to be similar, too. I have created a survery via SurveyMonkey and have asked people to complete it so I can gain audience feedback.

Update!

We've been filming the opening scenes of our Short Film since the 10th of January and it hasn't been working the way we anticipated. We've decided to think our whole project through and have come to the conclusion that we're changing the concept to a more simple but effective twist, with a more simple but effective.

Ideas for Music

The music in our short film needs to fit or else it will not look professional. As the sound is my role I have decided to create an online survey to see what genre of music other people think would be most effective.

I will leave it for a week or so and allow people to vote for themselves.

Magazine Article's

I am going to find some short film articles in magazines either in shops or via the internet. This will help me have an idea on what sort of things I need to cover when producing my ancillary task. Things I will need to focus on is what will need to be said about the short film that covers enough for people to want to watch it but not enough to let the audience know exactly what happen, basically explaining some of the concept but not revealing any plot twists!
