Project Screening

To help gain feedback for our evaluation, my Media class and I have created an event on Facebook inviting some friends to come and watch our film projects. Facebook is a very popular social network and many film companies use this as a way of viral marketing. We will be handing out questionnaires in order to gain other people's opinions on our projects.

I have also posted it on Twitter to increase awareness to a wider audience!

Record Label Consent

Due to wanting to use tracks belonging to Orchard Music and Sony Music Entertainment in our Short Film, I emailed both companies to ask for permission.

The Chorus Without The Prop...

With the chorus being a vital part of the Short Film, we need to get this bit as good as the acting by the main characters. The hair is covering the face to symbolise the lack of care and compassion within the brief relationship with the main characters. I have desaturated Kelsey and increased the saturation of the sea to so symbolise further that there is no life between Zoe and Stephen, and with the waves crashing at the same time reinforces the deterioration of their relationship.

Video Editing (previews!)

I was experimenting on Adobe After Effects earlier and I finally have found out how to change the colour of an object in a video yet turn everything else black and white. I plan on doing this for the chorus.

How I'm Planning To Attract an Audience

For my ancillary poster I have followed the idea of 'less is more'. The way in which I have made the poster appeal to the audience is by using a close up photograph of a girl with make-up smeared down her face looking distraught. Although it is very dark, I believe that it draws the audience into looking at it wondering what it is about.
